IGN’s review of the early access build gave it a “7” rating, mentioning AI issues and a lack of content. The PC version of the game was released yesterday, May 18, and initial reviews are looking good. However, it is good to get confirmation that the game will be available on Xbox. Fans who planned on playing the early access version on PC before moving to console might find this a bit disappointing.
The developers also mentioned that while they are working towards making the game playable on as many platforms as possible, cross-progression will not be available. The devs clarified in April that the Xbox version is on track to arrive with the full 1.0 launch, although Xbox will not be getting an early access release for The Outlast Trials.
